One simple and effective way to save money in your home is by caulking. Closing gaps with caulk is an easy way to eliminate cracks or drafts and prevent mold and excess dirt build up.
As your home ages you may start to notice cracks appearing in the walls or in joints between walls, doors, countertops, bathtubs, etc. Small cracks are not concerning unless they are left untreated. You can easily patch cracks in your home by using caulk.
As an added bonus, white caulk adds a beautiful finish to your house. You may find yourself on a scavenger hunt as you begin to find and fill cracks and gaps.
A real estate inspection or home inspection is not an appraisal or a check for compliance with building codes; it’s also not an evaluation of environmental hazards. See the NYS Standards of Practice for more information on the limitations of a home inspection.
